The Pursuit of Recovery

Why Derma Began With Compression and Where It Is Finally Headed

From the very beginning, Derma was never just about clothing.

Even the name itself came from a specific idea. Recovery pants should fit like a second skin. Something worn so closely to the body that it supports without restriction. That belief shaped the name Derma and it shaped the brand long before any product existed.

While Derma has taken many forms over the years, custom uniforms, training wear, essentials, and community driven projects, the pursuit of that original idea never stopped. It simply required more time than expected.

A Year of Focused Experimentation

For over a year, Derma has been experimenting with graphene and its role in advanced athletic textiles. The focus was never on complexity for its own sake, but on understanding how materials behave under real athletic use.

We tested different blends and dyeing processes to see how graphene integrates into performance fabrics. Some approaches altered the hand feel too much. Others affected breathability or long term consistency. Through repeated iteration, we learned that graphene only adds value when it is introduced carefully and with restraint. When done correctly, it does not announce itself. It simply improves how the fabric performs over time on the body.

Italian Manufacturing and Textile Precision

To develop this fabric properly, we partnered with textile specialists in Italy who operate at the highest level of performance manufacturing. Using advanced knitting techniques and a controlled graphene dyeing process, we are producing a fabric engineered specifically for recovery and compression.

Italy was chosen not for prestige, but for precision and repeatability.

An Exception to How We Normally Build

Derma has always operated with a simple mentality. Start, refine, and improve through real use. Most projects evolve in public. We build, test, adjust, and grow alongside the people wearing the product.

This product was the exception.

Over the past year, we sampled more than twenty different fabrics and developed over ten distinct variations of these pants. Each version explored compression behavior, fabric response, durability, and long term comfort. We slowed the process intentionally because recovery leaves no room for shortcuts.

This was not something we were willing to release and improve later. It had to be right before it ever reached an athlete.

The Product We Have Been Working Toward

In mid 2026, Derma aims to launch its first compression recovery pants.

These pants are being engineered with a medically informed compression profile measured in mmHg and supported by established research around blood flow and circulation. The goal is to help the body deliver fresh oxygenated blood to fatigued muscles and support recovery during travel, rest, and off field hours.

Soreness is something every professional athlete understands. It is constant, cumulative, and often underestimated. We are confident that this product will stand among the most advanced athlete focused recovery garments available, not because of claims, but because of how deliberately it has been built.

A Personal Commitment

I want to step slightly outside the brand for a moment.

This is Stavros speaking, not just Derma.

As a professional athlete, my name and reputation are tied to everything I build. I live the realities these products are meant to support. Long flights. Short recovery windows. Training sessions that arrive faster than the body would prefer.

Anyone who lives this life knows the feeling of stepping off a plane with heavy legs, limited sleep, and a session waiting within hours. These are the moments where recovery becomes critical rather than optional.

This is a product I will put my name behind fully.

I hold myself to a high standard in sport, and I will not settle for anything less than the best possible recovery garment on the market. If it does not meaningfully support athletes, it does not deserve to exist under this brand.

That standard has guided every decision in the development of these pants, from fabric selection to compression profile to manufacturing partners.

Returning to the Art of Athletics

Derma has always existed at the intersection of effort and refinement. Performance and recovery. Art and science.

This next chapter brings the brand back to its original intention. Fewer products. Higher standards. Purpose driven design.

The journey has taken time because it needed to. And we are finally approaching a point where innovation, feasibility, and integrity meet without compromise.

Mid 2026 is not just a launch. It is the result of a long pursuit.

Recovery, refined.
